As the Owl Flies Audio Book Released

Hi all. Late last month, the audio book version of As the Owl Flies was released. It turned out really well. Narrator Lena Hibala did a great job bringing the stories to life. Artist Emily Hurst Pritchett formatted the cover into the square format required by ACX.

I'll be updating you on my upcoming appearances later this week. September will be a busy month, and I hope to see you at one of them!

A Writer's Week #132: Sounding Out

In my last post I hinted that I would have some news soon. Well, the time has come to announce that my upcoming collection of stories and poems, As the Owl Flies, is being released as an audio book! It will most likely be available in early August.

I'm pleased to announce that I've partnered with Lena Hibala to produce the audio book through ACX. When I opened the book to auditions, I thought I was looking for an American male voice to narrate these stories. However, Lena's audition really blew me away. Listening to her was like listening to someone reading stories by a cozy fireside. The other auditions were too clinical and clean. So, now I have a female British/Irish narrator, and I think she fits the tone of the book quite well.

Lena has narrated seven audio books to date. Eight is my lucky number and I am glad As the Owl Flies will be number eight. I'm really looking forward to the completion of the audio book. It's shaping up to be epic.

As the Owl Flies is another title I've published under White Owl Manuscripts. To celebrate the occasion, I've redesigned the White Owl logo. Here it is:

I think it was time for an update. It will be appearing in the new book, and eventually, I'll be replacing the old logo in the Deliverers Series books, as well as the About the Author blurb.

So, what's next? Well, besides the launch of the new book on July 17 and waiting for the completed audio book production and its launch soon after, I am going to be making a number of appearances throughout the remainder of 2024.

As soon as things die down on the release and production front, I will be continuing work on my Tales of the Dragon Islands book. I'm starting to get excited and fired up to see how this budding project progresses. I'll update you as it does.

Peace.
